United States 1936 – Folding – 828 Bantam – Very Rare.

The Kodak Bantam Special was introduced in 1936 and is possibly one of the most beautiful camera designs of all times.

Its pure “Streamline Moderne”, Art Deco design was by Walter Dorwin Teague (also known for the Sparton table radios, the Texaco gas stations, the TWA identity and early Polaroid cameras). The striking shell case and body whose curves enhance the streamline effect are made of cast aluminum and black enamel. The Bantam Special was sold as an expensive luxury camera mainly in the United States, making it rare to come by today.
