Japan 1951 – Compact – 35 mm – Rare.

Canon started producing rangefinder cameras post war and constantly pushed new versions with regular innovations.

The IIIA is among the firsts to be mass produced in the early 50s and brings several new features, the most visible being the mount compatibility with Leica lenses. The early Canon rangefinders are very smooth, beautifully built cameras clearly opening the way for the brand future quality.
