Austria 1951 – Subminiature – 16 mm – Very Rare.

The Goerz Minicord was introduced in 1951 by Optische Anstalt C. P. Goerz in Vienna, Austria and is considered as “one of the three top subminiature cameras (with the Gami 16 and Minox); it is a precision instrument of high optical and mechanical quality” (Paul Wahl).

The quality of its design and the precision of its build allows 16mm films to be extensively enlarged into large, high-quality prints. The minicord is about the size of a pack of cigarettes, and is a twin lens reflex.

A few were made with gold metal and green or red leather panels, making them very rare.
